Business Development Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) with project management and estimating expertise to help drive our company’s growth. You will serve as the client advocate and key liaison between customers and Global, identifying new business opportunities while managing existing relationships. This position will be based out of our Holly, MI office with potential for some remote work.

At Global Environmental, we specialize in environmental remediation, groundwater treatment systems, and rental solutions. Our expertise spans remediation contracting, equipment rental and sales, and operation and maintenance services. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven, results-oriented professional to expand our client base and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities Overview
Your primary responsibility will be to build Global’s brand by identifying, developing, and securing profitable revenue growth from our core end markets, including:
— Commercial Development
— Infrastructure Development
— Environmental Remediation
— Manufacturing/General Industry
As a key player on our team, you will be responsible for:
— Building and expanding customer relationships and revenue streams
— Identifying and securing new State and Federal contracts
— Overseeing project estimation and bidding to ensure competitive pricing
— Managing remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and vapor treatment
— Collaborating cross-functionally to develop innovative environmental solutions
— Delivering compelling presentations and technical sales materials to demonstrate Global’s unique capabilities
Business Development & Sales
— Develop and execute strategies to grow client relationships, increase revenue, and expand market presence
— Identify new project opportunities from leads, trade shows, publications, agencies, and direct outreach
— Lead proposal and bid development, ensuring alignment with client needs and market conditions
— Collaborate with internal teams to position Global as a trusted industry leader
— Participate in industry conferences, sales presentations, and networking events to stay ahead of market trends
Project Management & Estimating
— Lead project estimation, sourcing labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
— Oversee bid submissions, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with industry standards
— Directly engage with clients to develop tailored solutions that meet their environmental remediation needs
— Monitor project budgets, schedules, and change orders to maximize efficiency and profitability
— Serve as the point of contact between clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution
Strategic Growth & Leadership
— Analyze market conditions and competitive trends to refine business strategies
— Work with leadership to develop sales forecasts and performance goals
— Provide insights on emerging technologies and regulatory changes in environmental remediation
— Support and mentor internal teams in estimating, project planning, and execution
— Foster relationships with key suppliers
Who You Are
We’re looking for a strategic thinker and problem solver with a passion for environmental solutions. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, goal-driven environment, this role is for you. We are seeking someone with existing industry experience and connections, ideally 3-5 years of professional experience.
Required Skills & Experience
— Proven business development and sales experience in the environmental remediation or construction industry
— Strong estimating, quoting, and project management skills
— Ability to analyze technical data, government regulations, and project specifications
— Excellent communication and negotiation skills
— Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects
— Willingness to travel (<20%) for client meetings, vendor visits, site visits, and training
Preferred Qualifications
— Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent industry experience)
— Three to eight years of experience in environmental remediation, project management, or estimating
— Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, PFAS remediation, and hazardous materials handling
— Experience developing proposals, cost estimates, and contract negotiations
— OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper certification (or ability to obtain)
